Fees from VAT charges

Hey everyone, another quick update, and hopefully the last one related to the VAT charges that were improperly run earlier this week.
It appears that some of you were hit with fees (they seem to generally be international transaction fees) that were not returned as part of the refund. I'm working with Backerkit to try and rectify this, but it may boil down to me providing this as a credit to your eventual VAT/shipping charges. That's obviously an unplanned expense for Res Nova, but those aren't costs you guys should be expected to bear.
If you were subject to such fees that were not returned, and you would like those to be compensated, please send me a message to [email protected]. In that message please provide your name and address (so I can verify the proper affected account) and the amount of the fees. A snapshot of those fees from a statement would also be helpful - but please make sure that snapshot doesn't include any of your account details or other private information.

Hey everyone, just a very quick update here.
It looks like some of our EU and UK backers were just charged for VAT. This was not supposed to happen at this point because 1) I've promised to provide a heads up before charges landed and 2) VAT was supposed to be charged at the same time that shipping charges were passed along.
Unfortunately, while pushing through a round of charges for US backers whose cards had been declined last week, Backerkit pushed through charges on all outstanding balances - which included preliminary VAT calculations. This was an error and I've already contacted Backerkit to try and correct this.
I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to any of you.

Hello Warzone Eternal backers,
It took me a week and a half longer than I expected, but final charges should be landing in the Backerkits for US domestic non-retail backers at the end of this week. I've been perhaps obsessively cautious with this process as I've seen plenty of other campaigns where an oversight of some form or another resulted in miscalculations, the need to process refunds, etc. I've been working with Backerkit to make sure that everything's in order, and am hopeful that things will proceed smoothly. I appreciate your patience as I've navigated this.
Of course things have continued to move in the background so that I'm as well-positioned as possible to start shipping items out, and evenings have been spent sorting unit cards into sets and assembling packets of miniatures. Bryan even made a trip up to Michigan to spend a weekend in a frigid basement and help me package your miniatures.
Speaking of your miniatures, I posted to the Res Nova blog an overview of working with Siocast, the material of which the Warzone Eternal models are made. For many of you this will likely be a new experience, so hopefully this guide will help minimize any frustrations.
Finally, in case you haven't seen it yet, our friends over at Kabin Miniatures released to Youtube last week a learn to play video for Warzone Eternal. The production quality is spectacular, the presentation is illustrative, and it does an amazing job of quickly getting you to grips with Warzone Eternal gameplay. If you haven't seen it yet, go do so now! And if you have, go watch it again and give Kabin a like and a follow!
