European Shipping Update

Hello Warzone Eternal backers,

Just a quick update on the status of shipping to European backers.

UK Shipments

This shipment is still being processed. I stretched the shipment date on this order to allow those with errored payments to correct their payment information to ensure their order got on the pallet to the fulfillment center. As I've stated before, orders that don't make it on the shipments to the fulfillment centers will need to be shipped directly from Res Nova in the future. Those shipping costs will be rather higher that shipment from the UK hub and will be sent as "duties unpaid," meaning any VAT or other tax considerations will need to be paid by the recipient before customs/postal service will release the package.

Non-EU European Shipments

For those of you in non-EU European countries, those orders are being shipped with the UK orders to the UK fulfillment center. Please note that Shipquest is not able to collect and remit VAT for these destinations, so these orders are not being charged VAT through Backerkit, but will be delivered "duties unpaid," as described above.

EU Shipments

Shipping and VAT charges for these destinations were charged on Friday. There were a large number of charge errors resulting in backers with outstanding balances as of today. Those of you with errored payments should have received an email from Backerkit regarding this fact. Many of these are simply due to expired cards still connected to Backerkit accounts, and these can be fixed simply by updating the card on file.

Payments for a number of you were blocked due to "Strong Customer Authentication" (SCA) security measures implemented by your bank or credit card provider. Backerkit provides some explanation as to how backers may resolve these issues here: LINK

For those to whom the SCA guidance doesn't provide an answer, please look for a notification from your bank or card issuer informing you of a rejected transaction and follow their guidance for approving that charge. Alternatively, you can contact your bank directly and request they approve the transaction.

Given the above complications, as with the UK orders, I'll be delaying the shipment to the EU fulfillment center to allow backers to attempt to resolve their payment obstacles. 

Retail Orders

Alongside wrapping up the EU orders, US retail orders are being packaged for shipment as well, so retailers can expect to see their orders on their way before the end of the month.

Shipping Update - Late May

Hey Warzone backers, hope all is well. I got hit with a nasty cold (who gets a cold in May?!) that knocked me on my butt for a few days, but things are once again progressing.

Shipquest has gotten to me the final details on shipping specifications (pallet type, freight options, etc), so the UK orders are being palletized over the next several days and will be ready to ship whenever Shipquest's freight forwarder arrives. As this fulfillment process has drug on long enough already, I'll be air freighting this pallet to the UK fulfillment center (the plan, for now, is to do the same for the rest of Europe orders) - Res Nova will absorb the increased cost. As these individual orders have already been packed here at Res Nova, as opposed to having Shipquest handle pick-and-pack, they should be out the door of their warehouse shortly after the pallet arrives.

There are still a very small number of UK backers who have not updated their payment details in Backerkit and thus have outstanding balances related to VAT and shipping charges. Backerkit has sent several emails to these backers informing them of the payment error. As noted in a previous update, if these are not addressed before the freight forwarder picks up the pallet, those items will be shipped later directly from Res Nova, taxes and duties unpaid, which will be rather more expensive. So please address your payment details now!

With the UK shipment very nearly wrapped up, I'm turning to the rest of Europe. Shipquest will also be handling re-shipment, this time out of their Netherlands fulfillment center. So as not to spring this on backers without notice, please expect shipping and VAT charges, as appropriate, to be processed on Friday, June 6th. In the meantime, please make sure your addresses are correct and your payment details have been updated in Backerkit so we can proceed with as few hiccups as possible.

For those of you who haven't received your pledge yet and are not in Europe, I'll be sending out another update in early June with details there.

UK Fulfillment Update

Good evening Warzone Eternal backers,

Just a very quick note for all of the UK backers. Given complications arising from the premature VAT charges that hit some European accounts earlier this year and were subsequently refunded, Backerkit needs to manually process the VAT and shipping charges that were scheduled to be processed today.

So, there will be a slight delay of a day or two for those charges to arrive in your accounts, but I wanted to head off any questions as to why those charges didn't appear today as expected.

Shipping Update - May

Hey Warzone Eternal backers,

Kickstarter fulfillment is continuing to move along and here's the status update as of today:

US Non-Retail - All shipments are complete, including replacements for those that disappeared into UPS limbo.

Canada Non-Retail - All orders have been shipped and it appears that nearly all have arrived at this point. If that's not the case for you, please contact me at [email protected]. Some of you reported that you were tagged by customs requiring that you pay taxes on the items before they were released as I had not collected taxes for those orders during the Kickstarter. I apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused any of you.

Australia / New Zealand - Items have arrived with my local fulfillment partner who has in turn packaged and shipped all orders out. You should be receiving tracking numbers by email, if you haven't already, but those numbers can also be found in your Backerkit account.

UK - Shipping costs have been received from Shipquest and information is being fed into your Backerkit accounts this week. So as not to spring this on you suddenly, shipping plus VAT charges will be processed next Monday, (May 12th). If you need to update your credit cards on file or your mailing address, please do so before Monday so that I can get these items out the door without a hitch. Orders with outstanding charges will not be included in the freight shipment to Shipquest, and will instead be shipped directly from Res Nova after the fact. As this will be significantly more expensive than the domestic shipping charges from Shipquest, please make sure you let me know if you are having any problems with updating your payment information.

EU / Rest of Europe - Shipping costs for these destinations have also been received from Shipquest and those, plus VAT charges, will be added to Backerkit accounts over the next two weeks. I will send another update giving notice of the day those charges will be processed, but, in the meantime, please make any changes necessary to your payment method or mailing address on file with your Backerkit account.

Rest Of World - Orders to backers not in one of the specific regions identified above will be processed as a group at the end of shipping.

Retail - As noted previously, orders in retail packaging will be processed as a distinct group after non-retail shipping has completed due to the vastly different packaging dimensions and entirely distinct shipping costs calculations.

Just a quick update on fulfillment status and a bit of fun news from Adepticon.

SHIPPING

As of this afternoon, I dropped off the last of the non-retail Canadian parcels with the courier. Some of you have already reported receiving tracking numbers, and I'd presume the rest of you will shortly. With that, this brings Kickstarter shipping to:

US Non-Retail - As reported in the last shipping update, all non-retail US orders are complete, and, except for two shipments that appear to have disappeared into a UPS blackhole in their San Pablo distribution center, all should have arrived by now (for the two affected orders, claims have already been filed and I'll be in touch as soon as I have more info).

Canada Non-Retail - As noted above, all non-retail Canadian orders have been sent out and are in transit.

Australia/New Zealand - Orders for backers in New Zealand and Australia are being packed now for shipment to my Australian fulfillment partner, who will handle pick and pack and local re-distribution. For backers in these two countries, shipping charges will likely arrive on Wednesday of this week (that's Wednesday my time, Thursday morning for you). If you need to update your credit cards on file, please do so in the next two days so that I can get these items out the door without a hitch.

EU/UK/Rest of Europe - As with the last update, I'm awaiting final shipping and VAT numbers from my fulfillment partner, Shipquest. Once I have those, I'll update all of you asap to let you know that shipping and tax charges are impending. The orders to these locations are already being assembled, so that they can be placed on a pallet and shipped to the Shipquest distribution as soon as I'm permitted.

Rest Of World - Orders to backers not in one of the specific regions identified above will be processed as a group at the end of shipping.

Retail - As noted previously, orders in retail packaging will be processed as a distinct group after non-retail shipping has completed due to the vastly different packaging dimensions and entirely distinct shipping costs calculations.

Adepticon Warzone Eternal Champion

With business out of the way, I wanted to follow-up Bryan's excellent summary of the Adepticon Warzone Eternal Championship from our last update with a few pictures from the event and news that will be exciting to all Warzone Eternal players.

As many of you know, aside from the awesome prizes shown above, the winner of the Warzone Eternal Championship gets to work with Bryan and I to select a unit to be added to the game, perhaps having something in the works jump the queue to get to the head of the line or to introduce something for which we had no plans, even in Bryan's far-reaching unit design document.

Well Zach, the victor of our first ever Championship, has just settled on his design selection, and Bryan and I are super excited to bring this one to life.
